👥 Hire for shifts, not just jobs
One post can ask for five people across two weeks of shifts. Pros see the exact dates and times, pitch for them, and you confirm seats one by one — the card always shows how full you are.
⏱ Check-in & timesheets
Pros check in and out on their phone from your Offers & shifts flow. You approve the hours in the dashboard — approved hours are what land on the invoice, nothing else.
🧾 One invoice per period
Every approved engagement rolls into a single itemised invoice with your PO number and cost center on it: worker totals, the 10% platform service fee, and payment-processing costs shown separately. Export it as CSV for your books.
⭐ Your own talent pool
Save the pros who showed up and did great, add private notes, and invite them first next time. Repeat hires skip the line — new posts can stay hidden from the public board for the first 24 hours.
How the business terms work
- You post, pros pitch. The platform never assigns strangers — you screen every pitch and choose.
- Fees in the open. A 10% platform service fee on approved work, plus payment processing at cost when online payments are switched on. Both are itemised on every invoice — never buried in the hourly rate.
- Payment runs through the platform. When the payments switch is on, funds move through our payments partner (Stripe Connect) — ProsBoss never holds your money in its own account. Until that switch is on, you settle with pros directly and invoices are records, marked as such.
- Terms labels are bookkeeping, not credit. If you pick a "Net 15/30" label on an invoice, it is a tracking note between you and the pro — ProsBoss does not advance funds.
ℹ️ Contractor or employee?
ProsBoss is built for independent-contractor (1099) engagements: pros control how the work gets done, serve other clients, and are engaged per job or shift. If your company directs the worker's schedule, methods and tools the way it would an employee's, the law may treat them as a W-2 employee, with payroll and benefits obligations that sit with your company, not the platform. This summary is general information, not legal advice, and ProsBoss does not classify your workers — check with an employment lawyer or your CPA if you are unsure. Our Business Terms, which you accept when creating a company, spell out the same allocation of responsibility.

During launch, yes — posting jobs, joining as a pro and pitching are all free. Later, a small service fee will apply only on jobs completed through the platform.
You and your pro agree on payment directly (cash, Zelle, Venmo…). Secure in-platform payments with a service guarantee are on our roadmap.
